apologies, dear readers, for the abrupt ending. but experience has taught me that sometimes sudden radical change is both necessary and productive.
so why kill pop tart, why now, and what next?
as you have no doubt noticed, i don't have as much time for blogging these days. pop tart was becoming a dusty corner in the blogosphere.
and let's be honest: the tart was getting stale. what was initially intended as a blog to write about my personal take on pop culture and politics rapidly degenerated into occasional whining about my life and my job. yawn...
i also seem to have picked up a few lurkers who i did not intend to have in the audience. yes, yes--this is a public forum and i have no expectation of privacy. that does not mean that i want to share my personal thoughts with these people (or have to think about the fact that they might be reading this when i post something).
so it was time for a change.
i love blogging and i will blog again. there are already plans in the works for a new and improved ashblog, although it's not really at the top of my todo list. maybe over the winter break. drop me an e-mail and i will send you the new URL.
okay, i'm not one for long goodbyes. i'll see you all on your blogs and i'll be back before you know it.

I miss Tart Blog, and hope you return someday soon.
And to commemorate it, I've tagged you with a meme because when you get a cold, you want everyone sick with you.
Still crying
